Warorot or Chiang Mai Chinatown is located around Wichayanon Road. Close to the Ping River bank where we can find all kinds of shops, from fruit and vegetable stalls, shops with fake brand name clothes, jewelry stores and as you can not miss in any Chinese neighborhood excellent Chinese food restaurant and its corresponding Chinese Temple.
Warorot Market is ideal to visit it at night, walking its streets and sitting down to enjoy the typical Chinese cuisine. Without a doubt, if you really want to enjoy the visit, try to do it during the Chinese New Year, because the neighborhood is decorated and filled with noise and fireworks, a real show.
HOW TO GO TO THE WAROROT MARKET OR CHINATOWN IN CHIANG MAI
Being located near the Ping River, the Warorot Market is easy to reach by tuk tuk, songthaew (collective taxi) and even on foot if you are staying in the city wall area. The shops open early in the morning and close at midnight.
